Dr.
Montessori describes her discoveries in her own words in the work The Secret of Childhood in the chapter
entitled, “Observations and Discoveries.” She describes the origin of the
concepts of freedom for repetition and free choice, the origin of the silence
activity, dignity, spontaneous discipline, reading and writing, and others.
Get the

intended text (new versions have sadly removed a great deal, especially in
regards to the spiritual nature of the child).
