I'm doing some research on this at the moment but I can't seem to find how/when the practice was originally derived from the theory.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09783135002091478789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661319394438545484.post-54398636680344137072013-01-14T21:39:25.708-05:002013-01-14T21:39:25.708-05:00I know the feeling when seeing that "aha!&quo...I know the feeling when seeing that "aha!" moment happen - so wonderful!!!

The hard thing with albums is that they ALL have their particular benefits. Why is that hard? Because how do we know what will be best for following a particular child? The AMI albums are key-based, so they don't contain every possible lesson; i.e. there are many more physics works that an elementary child (particularly boys) might delve into, but since they are not "key" for most children, the concepts are introduced --- and then there is plenty of room for pulling in *whatever* other resources *will* work for that particular child. My son has taken full advantage of that and we might go weeks without cracking an album because he is working so intensely on a subject of interest, it almost feels like unschooling - almost ;)

:) Jessica https://www.blogger.com/profile/07750741589516318310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661319394438545484.post-52549406321354949322013-01-14T20:20:58.204-05:002013-01-14T20:20:58.204-05:00I love the idea of Key Lessons.

I know I need them!!

I really get giddy when I watch a child discover things on their own, so knowing what the key lessons are I would probably die from WOW:)

Thank you for sharing.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13158647152559332939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661319394438545484.post-66352310592624092692012-10-22T21:57:26.453-04:002012-10-22T21:57:26.453-04:00NAMC blog post on the timing of the stories:
